Ascension Episcopal School

An integral part of the life of the parish is Ascension Episcopal School.  Established in 1959, Ascension is widely recognized as one of the best Episcopal schools in the country.  Our goals are to provide each student with the opportunity to achieve high academic standards, to gain appreciation for the fine arts and to grow spiritually, emotionally, socially, and physically.

Ascension Episcopal School, although under the ultimate authority of the Vestry of the Episcopal Church of the Ascension, is a self-supporting entity operating with a separate budget and Board of Trustees.  It is an unincorporated division of the Episcopal Church of the Ascension.  The school is governed by an eighteen-member Board of Trustees.  The Rector of the church serves as a voting member of the Board.  A delegate of the Vestry of the church also serves as a voting member of the Board and as a liaison to the Vestry.
